The global fast food giant has pledged to use 100% renewable, recyclable or certified sources when creating product packaging by 2025. At the same time, General Mills has achieved its sustainable procurement goals for all fiber packaging and now says it will take action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

    Large retailers are also putting pressure on suppliers to also meet certain sustainability indicators. Walmart said that by 2025, it will eliminate all packaging waste that ends up in landfills and is committed to ambitious environmental protection initiatives.
