That's how I've purchased the Madden games

  • Metacritic user review ia some of the very pessimistic and Madden 21 coins bi polar reviews you may find with quite a few review bombs. Many keep buying because they're basically paying a 60/year subscription fee for Ultimate Team/My Team so that they can spend extra money on packs. To be honest. A lot of WalMart's didn't even find regular edition. Only Deluxe and MVP rather than many copies at that. It has been really weird how small they're crying"BUY THE NEW MADDEN" when it comes to physical stores in that manner. Like, 70+ bucks or nothing. EA doesnt care, all they care is the sound of the $$. I'm surprised EA hasn't introduced planned obsolescence however where older Madden games cannot work after the year they are launched. I thought they did so with nba, thought it was for each of the sports games.

You're thinking of 2K which isn't an EA game. They kill servers after 18 weeks I believe. Which locks you out of a huge portion of the content because they induce you to be online for anything other than play now to do the job. Consumers get exactly what they paid for. The sports name fans did it to themselves. Like 2k does with their sport games? You get 18 weeks of servers, and then you need to purchase the new one to keep playing online. (now as fan project Skylords Reborn) Yes, instead of charging nothing for the rosters, they efficiently devote a minimal sum of money and cost you 60$ to this.

Because Madden's business model is built around Ultimate Team, a match mode where you slowly accumulate stronger players within the course of this year (preferably by purchasing arbitrary packs, of course). EA spends the entire year in a trickle feed, where they keep bumping the standard of players that you get. It is scummy, however, the entire Madden franchise relies on individuals spending hundreds on MUT and then jumping to another game a year later. On the flip-side, if you do not care about being constantly up-to-date with rosters, most sports games nowadays have profound"end-of-life" earnings just before another one comes out.

That's how I've purchased the Madden games that I have. Hell the latest NBA2K was on steam like 92% off another day. They do it so the MUT players have to restart their collection every season. EA doesn't really change much with each Madden series. I Play franchise, and I am honestly ok with older rosters. If Metacritic scores appears to bear correlation to sales then they would care. Metacritic scores matter to publishers when it gives them the opportunity to buy mut coins madden 21 screw over developers. Might make some stockholders ears perk up a little, but I really don't see much other than that.
